Since last update of FVP 4000/5000 I noticed a couple of problems
1/ The RECENT menu has disappeared which means you can't find which programmes you are still watching??? It's exactly like the standard menu except it's in "last watched" order and my go to menu. This menu also supported Series...
That's the way it should happen but it just doesn't. It records from the start but quits chase play when the live program ends so you don't get to see the end?? Affectively useless
I posted that very Same problem with "my 2 cents". Chase play simply doesn't work. The chase play back always seems to stop and switch back to live at the real program end time so you can't watch the end
February update they removed the RESUME (LAST PLAYED) menu and I really miss it for following series. Just to rub it in they kept the other totally useless menu items, but maybe somebody else is using them?
Series play was brilliant!!!
It just automatically plays the next episode in the folder.
Unfortunately during the last update they screwed it all up but I seem to be the only person affected
In February"update"they removed the Resume menu which listed all recordings in order of "last played"...
I haven't had any picture problems from broadcasts or recordings but the built in media player decoder definitely has a stutter which affects all models/builds and I mentioned this in my 2 cents

I've never had this problem because I always use my 4000 as default TV input, is that not an option?
I do use my PlayStation several times a day but when I switch off my PS, after a few seconds my TV goes back to my Humax.
Couple of things could affect it
First, you might want to try it on HDMI...
Humax seem to agree with you since they have removed this feature
But I maintain they will not be able to sell another box by this time next year without this feature
BTW - Ability to resume a series will also be able to resume a single recording/program/movie
RESUME PLAY/SERIES is the MOST important function of any video device, set top box, recorder, catch up service
Checkout the biggest organisations in the business Netflix, ITVhub, More4 and you will notice the main characteristic is not New Listings or Most Watched but RESUME PLAY/SERIES
Thats...
I simply pop the recordings menu
Navigate to a folder
Select any episodes I have already watched
Press delete
It deletes those episodes and then deletes the recording Im watching, even if its a movie thats not even in the same or any other folder
Its happened to me twice since the update and Ive...
If you delete any recordings (Tidy up) whilst you are watching a recording, it also deletes the recording you are watching
This is exacerbated because the 4/5000 series has no recycle bin
I reported this to humax and the rep said it's not possible to resume play from external media, to which I replied, yes it is and in fact it did until last update. Whats the chance of it being fixed with idiots like that reporting
Anyone else noticed. FVT 4000/5000 Media Player series play is broken since last update
1/ Videos no longer RESUME>PLAY and start over each time (which worked fine previously)
2/ Videos are not sorted in any order so series plays in random order
3/ Videos played from the recent menu series...
