Struggling to record and also play HD channels simultaneously
This has happened a couple of times now, the missus had recorded Strictly and then when watching the Saturday edition last night while the results show was recording we get skipping / freezing of the picture / no audio for several seconds at a time. Yeah, no matter - the link doesn't work on the original page either. The only reason I thought I might need it was so I could format the HDD using the Menu in the standard GUI. I was mainly wondering if the CF stopped the "Factory Default" option from working. So was going to re-install the official firmware to see if the option would then work. If you could post the official HDR-FOX2T_1.03.12 firmware that would be ideal - just in case. I'll have a look at the blog...- Rob Singlehurst

Thank-you :) - that's saved a wasted hour or so. I will try a completely fresh install on the "new" box and save some screen shots of all of my current settings from my "old" box so I can replicate it.- Rob Singlehurst

I ran the fix-flash-packages and that sorted out most issues, the fan is now working on the new unit (with the old hard disk fitted) but in the System Monitor it says the Fan Is Off so something still not quite right. Ahhhh, in that case I think these settings are corrupted. I'll copy off my recordings and then format the HDD and start again as the fan doesn't work on the new unit either with the HDD from the old box.- Rob Singlehurst

The box sees USB sticks normally when running. A bit of background, I have already fitted the old HDD out of my old box which was running fine until I noticed there was a temperature warning on the display last night - I swapped the fan out of the unit I had bought of eBay but no difference -...- Rob Singlehurst

USB Stick(s) not seen when trying to install CF
I bought a spare HDR-FOX T2 off eBay last year and never even unpacked until now. I've tried a couple of different USB sticks - one a 32GB and another 4GB - both formatted as FAT32 but it just boots up completely normally to TV and doesn't even seem to look for the USB sticks. Thanks, That sorted it :) Well, nearly. The queue is now empty but the files that were on Hold have not been added or have they effectively been marked as being processed? I ran the sqlite3 /mod/etc/webif.db "update settings set nval=(select strftime('%s','now')) where name='autolast';" command...- Rob Singlehurst

Thanks, I just checked and there was no space left so I've done what you suggested and then emptied the Dustbin using the normal Hummy Opt+ menu on the Media folders. I've put all the other items on Hold but there is one task that appears to be stuck but Running. Will a reboot end this...- Rob Singlehurst

Success!!! I got someone at home to switch on my pc, remoted into that and then telneted into my Hummy, pasted the command and rebooted the Hummy :) Excellent - thank-you so much. Another one for the knowledge base! ;)- Rob Singlehurst

Thanks, Yes you're right - the timestamp hasn't changed since deleting the queue.db file. I'll try that tonight when I'm back home - didn't setup port forwarding for telnet when I swapped my router a few weeks back so can't connect in at the moment. :( I'll let you know how I get on.
