I’m setting up my parents HDR T2 after moving house. I installed custom firmware on it a few years ago, but I’m now having trouble logging into the Web Interface. I’ve entered the IP address as per the Humax’s LAN settings, but it’s asking for a Username and Password. No idea what these are...
The workgroup name on both computers is Workgroup.
On the PC, all the SMB boxes are ticked. On the Laptop (which works) SMB 120 CIFS Client Server is unticked. There is also a box SMB direct that is ticked on the PC, but that box is not present on the Laptop.
Not sure what you mean by mod/etc?
Thanks. I remember having a similar problem when I first started using Win 10. I posted this thread and found out the answer was that I needed to enable SMB 1.0:

I checked how to do this using this...
Yes, I have the samba package installed and running. Not sure how to check if it's correctly configured in Windows, is there a guide to setting it up on this forum?
My Hummy shows up in my computers network, but when I try and open the folder I get a message "HUMAX is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find if you have access permissions. The network address is invalid."...
Thanks everyone for your replies.
I tried this and I just get "no channels found".

I've got the same problem as the OP. I tried auto rescan and all I get is "BBC 4 HD Has Moved. Please Retune" on ch798 (and similar messages for some other HD channels). I gather BBC4 HD and a few other channels temporarily moved on 22 June, but then moved back to where they were originally on...
I have two HDR FOX T2's running customised firmware. They were both showing in Windows Explorer on my old PC and I was able to copy files to/from them with no problems.
I've recently replaced that PC with a work laptop, and can't see them in Windows Explorer anymore.
I haven't changed...
From Humax's website (which I read before starting this thread):
"The HDR-FOX T2 offers exciting multimedia and home networking capabilities when connected to the internet via the Ethernet, making it the hub of any home. Play media content including photos, videos and MP3s directly onto your TV...
See: Not showing in Network in Explorer
Shows in Network: I can see the MAC address in the router web interface.
Anyway, installed Samba and it instantly appeared in windows explorer. Thanks!
I don't remember having to do that with my first box, I thought this machine supported networking...
I've just got my new box set up to replace an ailing older one.
I've got the custom firmware up an running and the web portal and RS service are working, but my PC can't see it on my network.
I can see it's MAC address on the routers network map.
It's connected via a 5 port Ethernet switch...
