Custom Firmware for Foxsat HDR
Many thanks for this, saved me many hours of searching. One quick question, I only want to copy SD & HD content onto USB, I believe that I can copy the SD content using the OPT+ feature as SD is not encrypted but is HD encrypted on the Foxsat as it is on the HDR Fox-T2 and if it is is there a...- macgd016

Custom Firmware for Foxsat HDR
A friend of mine in France has a Foxsat HDR and wants to copy content from the Hummy hard drive to USB memory stick. I have told him how easy it is on the HDR Fox-T2 with the custom firmware but I cant find a similar facility for Foxsat. I'm sure there is one somewhere could someone please...- macgd016

Channel Re-order
Having just been advised by Freeview to retune the Humax I have found that all my carefully renumbered channels have been lost along with all my recording scheduals. I guess this is normal but is there any way to backup recordings schedules and channel numbering first- macgd016

Thanks for the 4:3 tip, I've tried it and it works a treat, bit of a pain though having to do this each time you want to watch a video! Unfortunately the Toshiba USB modual is an entirly separate piece of electronics to the DLNA modual! I've also tried WMS and it works quite well, as you say...- macgd016

You are right some devices can play avi and other video files meaning that no transcoding would be needed but my Toshiba & the hummy can only play MPEG files, in this particular case Mezzmo is doing exactly the same transcoding for both devices so as videos play directly on the Toshiba it should...- macgd016

Yes it could be but I'm using Cat 5 cable and Mezzmo transcodes direct to my Tosiba TV without problem. This suggests that its the Hummy that is causing the problem- macgd016

I use Mezzmo to stream video to my TV and I have just tried it out with my HDR-FOX T2. It seems to work OK but I have noticed that unless the transcoding is given a bit of a head start the file stops after a short time. Pretranscoded files play fine. Now you mention it I did see the button but didnt realise what it was for, as you say its not logical. Mind you there are a few things that are 'not quite right' with the software, just a shame Humax havent continued their develop for this model.- macgd016

Does hummy DLNA support music & photo's?
I use to Mezzmo to stream video, photo's & music to my Toshiba TV and I have been exploring the HDR-FOX T2's DLNA capabilities. I can easily see my PC and Mezzmo on my network and I can play video's using either, however, the quality of video's using the Windows 7 facilities is as ever very...- macgd016

Instead of putting BBC One SD on 50 I put it on 1001 so that when the regional news is on its just one click of the program key away, just a personal preferance- macgd016
