A strange thing I've noticed though is that the rs doesn't see all of my channels on its EPG. webif has them all, but rs refuses to acknowledge Drama and (I think it's called) True Entertainment. This may be a silly question. I'm enjoying the Custom Firmware and have taken to scheduling recordings from my iPad. However it's become clear that the webif EPG does not flag recording conflicts. On checking I find that all three clashing programmes have been accepted onto the schedule. and...- trevor wright

The Humax occasionally changes its IP address. I read somewhere that I can fix this. Can anyone advise how this is done? (Please assume reasonable intelligence, poor technical knowledge, if kind enough to reply). Thankyou.- trevor wright

It's working again now. The Humax is connected to the router by cable. The iMac is connected to the router by cable. The ipad is connected by wireless. Yesterday both the imac and ipad stopped seeing the humax; even the portal wasn't working on the box. I rebooted the humax. It seemed to...- trevor wright

Brilliant.. but this all worked. Did the the telnet, removed the password, all fine. Many thanks. Except today, no device will connect to the humax. I've checked the IP address. In my browser it just tells me it can't connect. Yesterday it could. Driving me slightly mad.- trevor wright

I have tried to telnet this from my mac. It demands a 'system Pin." i have no idea what this might be. Is there no easier way to get out of this? All I want is access to the web interface.- trevor wright

I then went for the distance scheduler thing and got as far as entering a password etc. I believe it should now email me a further password but it hasn't. Installing Custom Firmware
I am not managing to install the custom firmware. I have downloaded the file. I have not renamed it as it appears to have the right name already. I have placed this on a usb drive (this is on an iMac) and, when I introduce this to the Humax, it asks me what sort of files I want to display...- trevor wright

All of my hd channels have suddenly stopped receiving, with the message that no signal is reaching the receiver. No change has happened in terms of aerial etc. please help!- trevor wright

Well, I retuned automatically in the first instance. It seemed to fix things. There are a few "unknown" channels but the duplicates have gone and the channels all seem to be functioning. Many thanks, this forum is so supportive.- trevor wright

Well, it looks as though I had a retune while I was away. Please help: I don't know what to do. I have many duplicate channels but, more worryingly, some of my channels won't work.
