I could not find any consistency to the MKV issues, that play or not play, so I bought the said 'Sumvision Media Player' and its fantastic for the money....the remote is cheap though, and I cant find the code for the Humax remote to take charge of it, but the reading of the files on my external...
I have my HDMI connected from the hummy to the Tv, and my surround/DVD also connected to the TV via HDMI, and it all seems great, the Hummy can control the volume (Except on HD channels but that's another section of the forum) I used to have a 3view box, and the Hummy, is far superior for 5.1...
Thanks Black Hole
hopefully thats correct, all i need know is the sumvision codes for the hummys remote, Ive looked but not found any as yet, I was wondering if another hummy user has found anything.
I managed to get a sumvision Cyclone 2+ after reading this forum, works a treat for .mkv...well to be honest any files thrown at it at present, its pretty basic though, but does what it supposed to, problem is the remote. I cant find any codes for the humax remote, and I dont even now if I did...
ok, I have not watched more than 1 minute of either, but they both did record on SD and Hidef, only seconds before the program starting, so I'm pretty impressed.
I have set up the SD version of Sherlock to record on Sunday, and I already have the series record of Sherlock in Hidef setup, I checked the previous 2 copies of Sherlock and, both HD and they play fine.
I will report back when its recorded.
I don't really have a a habit, though my wife records 'Midsummer Murders', and the New Sherlock. If you want me to try and record anything you suspect, give me a shout and I'll set it up.
Newbie, to forum and Fox HDR T2 but willing to help with tests my side.
