After the recent SMB unpleasantness, I - like many others here, I suspect - have been following Microsoft's advice on disabling SMBv1 on my Windows machines.
However, on disabling the SMBv1 client, I can no longer connect to the shares on my Humax.
Are there plans for updating SAMBA support on...
Aha! Use a DLNA server to re-stream the HTTP content - I hadn't thought of that.
I'll give that a go - thanks for your help and, of course, for your on-going work :)
Thanks for the reply.
I already use that to play back video and music from my NAS, but I was hoping there would be some mechanism (perhaps via one of the custom portals) that would support playing the remote streams I subscribe to...
My ISP at home is T-Mobile - using Chrome on my Nexus 7 tablet to get the custom firmware returns an HTTP error code of 500.
Using the same tablet and browser in my local (unsure of ISP) downloaded the file with no issue...
On that basis, I would say it's an ISP blocking issue.

3. The "forced" is related to the box *having* to be disconnected from the internet...
I can't say if there's anything to be gained, but you do *lose* much convenience. I have no choice but to run in this configuration, and I can't say that I've *gained* anything.
However, the two functions you mention work entirely successfully off-line, as do pretty much all the others. The...
Yes it is!
I'm glad it wasn't just me doing something daft - many thanks for the quick turn-around, and for everything T2-related that you've done and continue to do :)
Cheers,
YS
My HDR-T2 is not (and cannot be) connected to the internet, but I've successfully offline-installed - and then upgraded - to the custom firmware and then assorted bundles from the URL http://www.hummypkg.org.uk/packages.html
However, current attempts to download anything - the webif 0.9.12-7...
