Thank again folks. I have set it to 200 instead of 303 (which was working but has a bit '303' in white on a black screen).
Furthermore, the poweron-channel volume started to work after a day or so, but it would be better if there was a mute option instead of setting the volume at zero. But in...
@Black Hole - thanks for the ideas. I cannot find channel 105 on my Humax, but I get the idea.
@af123 - I have tried poweron-channel again, but am still having issues. When I set the volume to zero (i.e. just above the lowest point on the vertical slider) the Humax turns on with sound, but the...
Folks,
A small grievance I have with my Humax is the fact that it always connects to the previous channel when you turn it on and has the volume up.
I'd like to either be able to have a blank screen or at least mute the Humax as soon as it turns on.
I thought the package called 'poweron-channel'...
@4291 - most of the stuff I am trying to screen capture is from recorded content on the Humax, most of which has been there longer than the month for the catchup services. A good point, though...
@Black Hole - thanks again - you really are full of ideas. I try to record most stuff in HD though...
Thanks for the very quick replies!
@Black Hole - sounds like it's not something that could be implemented easily (i.e. to get a full res screenshot)
@brian - we have done this in the past, but you get a sub-quality image and lose detail, so I was trying to find something better
I will stick with...
Hello folks,
I infrequently want to take a screenshot of a programme I am watching to save for future reference.
Presently this means decrypting and transferring to a computer, playing in VLC and using the 'take snapshot' utility.
I thought that somebody must have thought about making this...
I see - this wasn't present when I first turned it on, but is now.
I've downloaded the video file again and can confirm I can now play it.
Thanks ever so much - I can now download straight from the box without issue.
I just tried this and indeed my Content Sharing was turned off. However, I transferred a file (an SD one to keep the size down) and had the same result as originally - the file would not play. I have the auto-unprotect package installed, so I assume everything is already decrypted, unless I need...
@Ezra Pound: thanks for that - makes sense. So you can FTP or Samba files off the Humax if you send them to a virtual drive first. I will try that out...
Thanks for all your very quick answers folks!
So, if I am to summarise what I understand has been said:
For SD files, you can only take recordings off the HDR-FOX T2 for archiving / safekeeping via USB
For HD content you must use the Foxy procedure or the Custom Firmware auto-unprotect package...
I have looked through the forum, but couldn't find an answer to this one, hence the post...
I recently tried to FTP a file from my HDR-FOX T2 to my computer using Filezilla. In principle this worked fine, but I could not play the file. I tried this with a number of different files (HD decrypted...
