My first one lasted about 9 months, second about 20 months before it gave serious problems.
Can't recommend that anyone undergoes the Seagate RMA process. A couple of days running Seatools for DOS (because they don't accept evidence from other tools), and when they agree to an RMA, it looks...
I'm just in the process of RMA-ing a second ST2000VM003 in three years (and as it is manufacturer warranty this time, as opposed to Amazon, it's not a bundle of laughs).
Many people seem very happy with this model, so is it just me, or are there a few more out there who have found the drives...
Yes, yes, and never tried it.
I'm in another place with a third humax. Couldn't get it to work on that, initially, but succeeded after forcing shutdown of the app (Moto G3, not sure if all Androids are the same).
Tried this out yesterday and it works fine on one of the boxes, but doesn't work on the other which is the revised hardware.
CF versions are the same, some differences in installed packages but nothing likely to be relevant. IR setting checked.
Any thoughts?
It can probably be fixed by configuration on the server. I'll look into it.
UPDATE:
Tried mounting the server drive on another linux system using the nfsvers option and 2 and 3 both work correctly.
SOLVED
The server is running NFS version 4, and the humax nfs package description claims nfs 2 or 3. Adding "-o nfsvers=2" to the mount command in /mod/sbin/scanmounts solves the problem (nfsvers=3 didn't).
Still a bit mind-boggled as to how the TV interface allowed the remote folders to be...
OS is Ubuntu 16.04.
network-shares-automount is installed.
I also have a NAS which uses NFS and I can list files on that through the humax web interface.
Ah! I've just had a thought.....
UPDATE: No. Still have the problem. Any suggestions?
I have a couple of HDR T2s mounting an NFS drive on my PC.
After a bit of messing about, I am able to copy files from the Foxes to the NFS drive, which was part of the intention.
The odd thing is that I can see the files on the NFS drive from the TV interface, but when using the web interface...
Sorry to post on an old thread, but found it after experiencing problems with a Manager's Special I bought some time in 2014. Running 1.03.12 and 3.00.
It stopped recording ie. said it was, but it wasn't. Fix-disk solved the not recording problem, but re-runs still showed a massive number of...
Surprisingly, the recordings are not encrypted.
There are 7 partitions on the drive, 4 of which are encrypted. The other 3 include the Tsr and My Video etc. The few recordings, some old, some done after reset, none of them HD, play happily in VLC.
(I'm lukewarming to it)
Looking for an old humax for the grandchildren I saw what looked like (and turned out to be) a DTR T1000 for£5 on Gumtree listed as not finding channels.
As the hard drive was worth more than a fiver, I bought it, ran it up, went into maintenance mode, reset the software, and it works.
