I turned on my Humax today from standby only to find it had self-tuned itself which is the first time ever it has done this in over 9 years. Consequently all programmes set to record, had been lost.
Can anyone explain this although I sort of knew something was going to happen today with Freeview...
I haven't got a 5000t yet but if I do then I require an additional remote control that's all. However they haven't as yet replied to an email at Humax Direct when the out of stock situation will be rectified.
When I buy AV equipment, I usually buy another OEM remote for my partner to use. Having searched the Internet I can't find anyone selling a remote control for the 5000t.
Humax direct show out of stock for identical looking remote though labelled as for the 4000, which I thought was different...
Some people have mentioned that they find the UI annoying inasmuch that behind the various screens one can see the current channel. Cannot the transparency percentage be changed to make the menus appear 'solid' and not have the distraction of the TV channel behind the various menus particularly...
Thanks for that information. My speed as measured by usual sources is between 16 an 17 Mbps download so no problems there and I have no data cap. Does anyone nowadays on home BB?
I can see a BT WiFi-with-Fon in my list on nearby WiFi nodes but didn't realise it was mine!
I am not worried about my electricity bill just the longevity of my BT Hub.
Surely low power standby stops Aerial Rf pass through? I haven't bought this kit yet but yes I would be able to check my router's stats. No idea re BT phon but can assure you that the three blue lights on my hub go dim after all WiFi components switched off indicating its own 'standby' mode in a...
Hi. I have asked a similar question, although not exactly the same. What I would like to know is whether the Humax 5000 is still 'connected' to my BT router, or rather keeping it on 'full power' when the former is in standby mode.
I ask this as I usually only turn on my WiFi on my tablets...
That's amazing, so no good for me should my current FOX T2 breakdown. I cannot imagine why there isn't a simple ON/OFF toggle switch somewhere in the Network settings. Admittedly the raison d'etre of this tuner is the ability to go back to broadcasts prior to the currently day etc.
With these devices, using WiFi, can this be turned off easily or is it not advisable? Or does it turn off when the Humax is in Standby anyway? I don't like my BT Home Hub staying out of 'resting' mode all the time. When I access my Apps on my Smart TV I turn on or off my WiFi on my TV as...
Thanks for some understanding. There are some things that I'd rather not do and installing customised firmware is one of them. I find Freeview populated, in my view, with so much nonsense and unnecessary channels that after a re-tune I spend much longer going through the List deleting so much of...
I get really peed off with this nag screens telling me to re-tune my Humax. As far as I am concerned, I'm usually happy with the status quo and as far as having QVC in HD, well I ask you!
Anyway, in order to stop the nag screen yesterday, I noted down my schedule list of programmes (only 6 at...
