Actually you're both right! - Yes I don't have LPCM audio on my home movies - But I did also want to put a particular musiv DVD onto my HDR... this had LPCM audio- WP53

Well - told you I was an amateur..! For the sake of completeness I'll comment on the points you made 1/ Yes I had completely missed that there are different versions of AV2HDR (specific to the particular Humax box). And the one that worked is indeed v1.0 AV2HDR-T2 2/ Yes for AC3 audio I...- WP53

Many thanks for the speedy inputs... For the sake of anyone else looking at this, here is what I found:- I tried using AV2HDRT2 using the .ts file created by MPEG Streamclip but the resulting file (ie the new .ts file) had choppy audio, either playing on VLC or on the HDR. Copy not working into Virtual Drive
Not sure if your problem lies somewhere with bootHDR - I'm just learning here but I have found something today that finally made bootHDR work on my HD Fox T2 - I installed bootHDR from the Package manager on the Web interface and verified it was installed. - Then as per instructions used...- WP53

OK sure. For the full story, the HD Fox T2 was on std 1.01.12 to start with. - I tried an update to custom HD_FOX_T2_1.03.02_mod_3.03 and that was what got it bricked. - I then did an update to std 1.02.29 which restored it to working order. - Finally then another update to custom...- WP53

Update - since I have installed the autounprotect program I understand the High Def recordings should be auto decrypted. Also I have installed Media Tomb and Samba (does this help?)- WP53

Is my HD Fox T2 Bricked?
I have just obtained a second HD Fox T2 for upstairs use and installed the latest custom firmware (just as I did for my downstairs box). All seemed to go well until I powered off after the "success downloading" message. Problem is - it won't restart. Just sits there with "HUMAX" centre screen...- WP53

Which Youview box to get alongside a HD Fox T2?
Many thanks for the replies. So T2100 it is... but does it support Youtube? (Youtube no longer seems to work on the HD Fox T2) Otherwise, I could just stick with my T2 and get a Roku box - any reasons why that would not be a good idea? Thanks- WP53

Can I do all that a Panasonic 735 does with a T2?
I've been reading up on the T2 capabilities against the Panasonic DMR 735. I think I have worked out that I can get the T2 to do everything that the Panasonic can, albeit a bit more clunky. That is - in addition to PVR facility, to make the occasional copy of a recording onto Blu Ray disc...- WP53
