I agree. I can't remember the last time I used it anyway, so it will remain unplugged for the foreseeable. I think the aerial leads are ok in that they were provided by the bloke who installed the aerial. He made them up from a big roll of cable.
My guess is cheap HDMI for the DVD player or the...
Well that's highly embarrassing. DVD player now removed and everything fine again. Answer to my problem in my own posts, albeit from a few years ago.
Adding in a Nintendo Switch at Christmas must have rejiggled the cables enough to make it borderline. Then bad weather knocks the reception...
Sorry to reopen this thread. I've lost BBC B again. Com 7 is still fine, as are all the SD channels.
My 2012 Panasonic TV can receive BBC B fine with no interference or drop out and shows signal strength and quality is good. Its aerial input is fed from the output of the Humax. This makes...
Hi, I've recently lost BBC One HD and all other channels on that same Mux. The other HD channels, BBC Four HD etc, are ok and BBC One HD etc are ok on my TV ( a 2012 Panasonic).
This has only happened recently and I noticed that the @FreeviewAdvice twitter feed suggested that bad weather might...
I get and appreciate plain speaking. Been accused of it myself many times.
This:
and this:
However is not plain speaking or constructive.
I misinterpreted the Disk Utilisation at 100% due to the Disk Full email I received. Surely an understandable mistake.
Believing the disk and the system...
Yes, although I wasn't sure, hence the post. Worried the box was failing as have had other issues recently with HD channels appearing scrambled, so posted for some reassurance.
Any clues as to what caused the email?
Again, the unnecessary aggression. I figured the email reporting disk full might be down to a filesystem problem.
Any idea what's causing that or are you just going to fire more insults my way?
Hmm, unnecessary aggression, but that aside...
Looking at the evidence, there's plenty of space on my HDD, so I figured something was out of sync somehow, hence the hope that fix disk would sort this. I wasn't expecting it to magic up some free space.
I realise now what the 100% is telling me...
Hmm, maybe I'm confusing myself then.
The first thing I noticed was 'disk utilisation reporting 100%, yet space used is 40%:
That prompted the disk check. Why the inconsistency between Total Space - Used and Disk Utilisation?
It did record ok last night. I shall schedule something to record...
I received a "No space left on device" email from the RS package this morning.
I tried running fix disk, but that was looping for ages with the "Illegal Block" problem reported elsewhere on this forum.
I then decided to run the "long check" which completed without error.
Having checked back on...
Just to let you all know, I've upgraded to 3.13 and fixdisk still spins. It does finish eventually, but running again produces the same output. Lots of the following:
Clear inode? yes
Too many illegal blocks in inode 7511201.
Illegal block #10 (2320111554) in inode 7511201. CLEARED.
Illegal...
Thanks for the response.
I've done the long check and all is ok.
I've just checked and my pause/play delay issue has gone away, so I'm going to hang fire on the reformat for now.
I've acknowledged the disk fault, so will keep an eye out for more. If it does happen again, then I'll try the...
Last June, I finally got around to replacing the hard disk after regular reports of disk problems. All has been running fine until this week.
Hitting play or pause on the remote was becoming really slow to get a response, 10 or 15 seconds.
Having checked webif, I saw that I had disk errors...
Hi,
I have been using sweeper for a while, but wondered whether there is a way to do something already that I can't see.
We are currently recording various programs off of CBeebies and similar channels, and certain series can soon build up in number and therefore use too much disk.
I was...
Right, it's working again. I've uninstalled network-shares-automount, and we're good as new.
I was playing with trying to get my NAS mounted as well as the samba settings before it all went wrong so I'm assuming my automount settings were what was causing the problem.
Af123, is there any...
Nothing at all in humaxtv.log when the recording was supposed to start, but did see this in scanmounts.log:
Which makes me think it could be something to do with my playing around with samba (myBook is my WD NAS).
Is there a way to undo this. Contents of mtab:
Right, out from humaxtv.log, first, in response to using the real remote:
So it is seeing the remote attempt to power it back on.
And then in response to the web ir package:
Output from tzget shows it is getting the correct time:
Is there a way to check for corrupt recordings? I've...
Thanks, that worked. Settings page now renders properly and, more importantly, works, so thank you!
Output from redring.log on placing box into standby:
Does this explain my problem to anyone?
