Sorry forgot to say that local network login to the box is fine and I can get all the info, it is remote RS login
In the last post I included the humax 2 screen here is humax 1. Note the differences top left.
I have had my T2 forever it seems and with its life not finite I have been searching for alternatives that give me the option to set recordings whilst away. I have tried, Vbox, HdHomerun, and of course Humax 4000. None come anywhere near my T2 with RS. So I found an allegedly new one on ebay and...
Thanks, I have now fitted the timer to power down for 30 minutes at 05:30. I am hoping this will solve it as I am away for fairly long periods and use the remote access, thanks for the advice all.
I have played with the Vbox but thats still alpha I think, and the Humax 4000 thing is a test!
My T2 periodically hangs and it needs a power down to resolve which is difficult when I am not at home. I would like to schedule a daily reboot to hopefully stop the problem or auto clear it. I can do a manual one off reboot but not an auto daily one. Probably I have missed something so some...
My T2 has been playing up and I rely on my remote web access for recordings. I have been looking at the 4000 and downloaded the so called apps, but like other reports have not been able to even get them registered. Has anyone tried the apps and remote recording and had it working?
I am still having problems my scheduled recordings remain in pending, and now my Humax has not been seen for over 24 hours. I did some scheduled reboots in between the recordings too.
Yes I know, you have not seen how I have my AV kit stored. The Humax is pretty much a redundant piece of kit for me I use it purely for recording Freeview and using the hummy package when I am away. Its stashed towards the back and I am afraid that an un-knowledgable hand will do something that...
I am away for the next month and a few days ago queued a few recordings. I looked this morning and they are still queued. The Humax is shown as last seen the 3rd so last week, and before I set the recordings. I tried a scheduled reboot but it has not taken that. But I am getting a reported...
I have the samba package installed, what I cannot seem to get is the shares available on the Humax, and I cannot see how I "map the NAS share to a mount point on your Humax" A Janet and John would be good if not too much trouble?
I would be interested as to how? It would be great just to have the Humax copy to or store on a network drive without my intervention via the PC. Maybe it does already?
