The hdd was 98% full, so I deleted nearly everything on it except about 10-12 hours worth of programmes. It’s still 72% full. Why is that, and is there a way I can look for a big file hiding somewhere ? Thanks, Norman
Black Hole- something personal about me. I'm severely sight impaired. This means I miss stuff. I'm sure the blurb said "you can also record programmes". What it didn't say was you had to buy something extra to be able to do so. It's just as well, probably, as my missus gets to use the humax...
UPDATE
A long story....................bear with me.
My wife has memory problems, and was struggling to use the humax controller (see previous posts on this subject from me). To simplify things, I bought a Samsung series 8 TV, which the blurb said had freesat built in. The blurb didn't say it...
My wife is struggling too much with the controls on our box, so I’m ditching it for a tv with built in freesat. Is there anyway I can preserve almost 1 tb of bargain hunts?
My original handset has been dropped too many times now, as it's not functioning very well (possible cause of my problems posted earlier this year).
I've purchased an original replacement and I now need to link it with my telly (Sony Bravia), as was my original handset. The instructions that...
I use the humax controller to both start up my Sony tv and the box. Most of the time it works ok, but sometimes, randomly it drops the box out, and the tv gives out white noise. To get the tv working again, I have to switch off for at least 15 minutes, and then move the signal source back to...
Rebooted as suggested. Still could not get catchup. I began to think of the ethernet cable becoming detached, but need a hand to check that due to my disability, so I was awaiting a son-in-law to arrive. 2 days after posting this, catchup just reappeared of it's own volition without any input...
I had to reboot it about a week ago (for the first time) as it would not play recordings at all. Catchup came on ok then. I'm not sure which box- I think it might be a 1100s, but that's a guess. Cables a bit tight to mess around the back, I'm afraid.
Catch up was working until a day or so ago. Now it tells me I have to wait 1 minute. Checking settings, it won't connect either auto or manual. The tv( a Bravia 800) is connected and works on its catchup, so there's not much wrong with my router/ homeplug setup, as both the box and the tv use...
It may be something that my wife had done, but the box (1100S) was locked onto one channel only last night. The remote would not do anything, and even pressing the on/off button on the box had no effect either. Neither the red or blue light was visible, but we still had BBC1. I couldn't find an...
I installed a new 1100S 1Tb box last week. The sound difference between HD and SD is so different as to be hurtful to my ears. It's so bad that the sound range on the box is not able to control the high levels, and I have to use the tv controller to either raise or lower the sound. It's at it's...
