Amusing Items

Someone showed me the notes from their hospital visit to today and I couldn't help but be amused when the surgeon described themselves as a

"specialist in general surgery".

:)

Having been associated with medical types over a long period of time, I can vouch for the fact they don't use words to mean the same as we expect. "Indication" is a case in point.

Best laugh I've had for a while:

It's like watching a Roadrunner cartoon where you just know the coyote will come off the worst!

It is no more, having been eaten today. That's Life I suppose.

That's almost as good as the guy who wants to pay to excavate the Newport City Council landfill site because his Bitcoin wallet is on a hard drive which got chucked out. NCC aren't willing to accept the risk.

All my old hard drives are stacked in a corner, but they pre-date Bitcoin (mostly).

My old PC's are in the loft but I was given 1 whole Bitcoin by buying a PC game and registering my purchase on the makers site, it was worth pence back then and I gave it no concern at the time or kept any record of it but the details may still be lurking on my old dead dusty Tiny desktop PC.

I suggest you give that serious consideration. The price has been up and down lately, but currently you're looking at £20k worth, and you will want to cash that in before the bottom falls out (I presume it will, when the national currencies decide to outlaw it). At it's peak, that was £50k worth.

Mine were in a drawer. I think I brought them with me when I moved. Not sure the contents are intact as I reformatted at least one of them to put a minimal Linux on one failing PC. That has now recovered and has Windows 2000 on it! I'm fairly certain that there is no bitcoin on them. Many of the disks are before broadband connection to internet. So, no unexpected money for me. :(
