Is there a way of preventing the Fox-T2 from encrypting HD recordings, so that they can be copied off and viewed on other devices?
There is no known way of stopping recordings being encrypted but there are lots of ways of persuading the HDR-FOX T2 to decrypt them for you. You want to start reading up about the custom firmware see http://wiki.hummy.tv/wiki/Custom_Firmware_OverviewIs there a way of preventing the Fox-T2 from encrypting HD recordings, so that they can be copied off and viewed on other devices?

The situation is different for the FOXSAT; I believe there is a patch to the FOXSAT Custom Firmware to prevent encryption on recordings.Excellent - thanks. Is there an equivalent for the Foxsat-HDR?
