Blah blah
How about such monstrosities as:
a SOS signal
a FTP Server
an US citizen?
Makes me want to scream!
Blah blah
But you wouldn't say "an save our souls signal" or "an file transfer protocol server" as you are implying that you should, but you would say "a United States citizen" . So all three above that you site are correct.
New balls please, umpire
Oh yes we don't
I regard it as disrespectful to expect experts to read and reply to a query when you can't be arsed to write proper.
No, it,s 42. And that's why Led Zeppelin were so called because the yanks would mistake lead as in the metal for lead as in a leash.
Regarding the other thing said:Yes I was, but I didn't insert a link deliberately ( I can't think of my reasoning at present- maybe rudeness?)
Maybe she didn't realise it was an expert she was responding to. However, most of the posters, including me, would agree that the use of very poor grammar with no punctuation, capital letters etc. is inexcusable, especially as it was produced deliberately.
Your mention of heteronym prompted me to do a little background research, and found this useful article:

Which is why they didn't. But it takes a dunce to pronounce a homograph like 'lead' wrongly when used as an adjective to Zeppelin.Hardly surprising if you choose a heteronym like lead!
