Not necessarily - not all the crap on their website makes it into the paper, and I doubt there's any more crap in that paper than in any other paper. I take everything I read or hear with a pinch of salt until corroborated - which means no cold caller is ever going to scam me (had one on the other day, having got past my blocker, trying to say he was from OpenReach, spent ages trying to convince me that was true before he gave up and went to pick on somebody else).

A few years ago I had a call from 'my bank' and the girl asked me for my DoB and things to prove I was who she wanted to talk to. I declined and asked her to prove that she was actually who she claimed to be. Ended up as an impasse, so we said goodbye.

A bit later I called the bank myself to find out what was afoot*, and it turned out it was a genuine call. I don't know if they got the message about security at that point though.

( * As I had called them at an 'official' number I was happy to provide proof of my ID at that point.)

@Scrat It may well be 99% attention grabbing biased dross masquerading as valid news but reading the replies posted to those DM articles gives a more accurate insight into the current zeitgeist than anywhere else. To be honest I would never buy any newspapers due to all of them being biased to the left or right, the only one that seems to be credible and stay neutral is the Metro and thats free.
 
For those who might be interested:
On BBC 2 today (Thursday) evening at 7:00-7:30 "Inside Culture with Mary Beard" is (at least partly/mostly) about the evolution of language.
From Radio Times website (printed uses different verbiage):
"The classicist considers the rapidly changing language. Ian Hislop joins in a debate about the development of English due to texting and Twitter, which has led to a stand-off to grammar sticklers and language radicals. Mary also talks to musician Evelyn Glennie, who is profoundly deaf and communicates using touch and vibrations. Mary asks how life has changed for her at a time when everyone is communicating through cold, hard screens. Evelyn also presents an exclusive performance from Ely Cathedral."

If that was aimed at me. I follow nothing, I am not a sheep, no facebook, no Twitter and certainly no political party. Accusations of ignorance are normally used by people when they really mean you should believe exactly what they do no matter how wrong they are. If this makes me ignorant then ignorance is truely bliss and without doubt far healthier than the bigoted bitterness eating away at the self proclaimed wise sheeple who claim to know the facts.
 
Left vs Right is a bit of an anachronism, Isn't it? Are we really all one dimensional?

Even with two dimensions, you understand the realities better.

It's oversimplified. The five points should be zones/areas, probably with some overlaps. But allocating the shape and size would result in even more dissent than using points.
