'Haitch' or 'aitch'? How do you pronounce 'H'?
My (old) Oxford dictionary has the letter "H" written as aitch and pronounced without an extra "h" at the beginning - as it should be.
The sound of says, ate, mischievous, harass, garage, schedule and aitch is shifting.
There's been some debate about harass, garage and schedule for years. Not sure about harass. I'll stick with garridge and shedule for the other two (for no other reason than my preference).

I'll stick with garridge
Ugh, typical bloody English.
Ga-rarge (with the g being a sort of gz type sound - or like 'raj' I guess).

Agree with shedule. Skedule is American.

Harruss, not huh-rass (Frank Spencer).

Ate? HTF can anyone change that?

OK, what about rollout used as a verb?

Wales is trying to rollout the vaccine

Arrgh! Roll out, you imbeciles at BBC News Channel!

I hadn't noticed. Mainly because I turn the sound down when she's babbling away! From your description it sounds like a common problem that has been going on for years. I remember a rather old British film where some copper was announcing on the radio that the suspect was carryin' a bag.
Same here with Johnson. What is wrong with his speech? He starts and stutters, making totally inappropriate arm gestures. When he gets to a jingle, he recites it at high speed (gebrextdn, tabakntrl), mispronounces just about every word he says, what is wrong with the man? Poor education?
