That was my point PhilIf it's in Essex wouldn't it be a freesome?
More likely to be a free-for-all, wouldn't it?If it's in Essex wouldn't it be a freesome?
It was too subtle for me to understand! That was my point Phil.
Sounds like a wokerite at the BBC edited the intro. I heard no mention of the venue in either episode. This recording was on 7th May at the Colston Hall*.
* Now called Bristol Beacon by/for the wokerites, but not by me! This is a point of hilarity during the intro for Programme 4. Funnier still, the pal I was with is 15 years younger than me with a foot in the woke camp.
Think yourself lucky you never saw a colleague of mine eat at a pub near the University. Pie and mushy peas. Separate when delivered but all mashed up with every available bottled sauce including salad cream plus pepper. It looked pre-digested before he ate it.even if they did pile all the veg (including mash) on top of my steak pie
There was nothing on the Specials board (like I said, a "distinct lack of them").Have you redacted the menu?
Perhaps I'll get to that stage when my teeth finally give out.all mashed up with every available bottled sauce including salad cream plus pepper. It looked pre-digested before he ate it.
Nothing wrong with his teeth, as far as I could tell. No-one ever got to the bottom of why he mashed up his pie and peas.Perhaps I'll get to that stage when my teeth finally give out.
No, no, no and no. Well, not when I knew him (some time between 1983 and 1991).Did he have a beard and glasses? Or a green jumper and a bald head?
Some people are just born weird. I worked with a guy for 2 years who brought the same packed lunch every day of 2 sandwiches, they were always buttered white bread with nothing apart from lettuce and sugar.Nothing wrong with his teeth, as far as I could tell. No-one ever got to the bottom of why he mashed up his pie and peas.

Perhaps he misunderstood what was meant by having a mixed diet?Nothing wrong with his teeth, as far as I could tell. No-one ever got to the bottom of why he mashed up his pie and peas.
And what would you do with all the time that is saved by using ham instead of cheese or fish paste etc ?I can understand that. Varying a packed lunch requires a lot of effort, which might be better applied to something else.
Ham is fair enough and you could easily have added a little variation with some mustard or pickle but only lettuce sprinkled with sugar is just strange.Close, but no cigar. It was so nearly mebut I had 2 sandwiches, white bread and ham (quite often crisps on). I'm sure that'll be what knackered my blood pressure.
But you have to organise the ham or the cheese or the fish paste. Then you have to think "what shall I have today?". It's so much easier just to have the same thing every day, and if you don't get bored with it, why not? Never judge other people by your own desires, their desires might be different (and no less normal than yours). And what would you do with all the time that is saved by using ham instead of cheese or fish paste etc ?
I am surprised you advanced from breast feeding. Variety is indeed the spice of life not to mention as far as food is concerned the only way to get a full spread of the vitamins and minerals needed to stay healthy. It is no less easy to vary your options and to live such a ground hog day existence suggests some form of mental issue such as depression. But you have to organise the ham or the cheese or the fish paste. I'm sure we never thought about that in the 1970s and 80s.Variety is indeed the spice of life not to mention as far as food is concerned the only way to get a full spread of the vitamins and minerals needed to stay healthy.
Catch an earlier bus, get to work earlier and do more productive work before other people arrive. And what would you do with all the time that is saved by using ham instead of cheese or fish paste etc ?
