Assume v. Presume

For me a spoiler is a single instance of the sin. Spoilers would be an alternative for having unwanted clues emblazoned all across a web site / app screen but I prefer spoilerage as a more aggressive term for this heinous crime covering not just the words but the pictures and emojis used as well as the catch-up live coverage duration also being a big Scooby. This time the BBC even experimented with Key Moment markers for goals and cards etc on the playbar but that was dropped after push back from viewers and I am guessing internally from their sports people explaining to their media people that while it was clever it was not wanted.

Hell, I must be getting old - I had to look Scooby up, even though I did actually know it. I can't blame lack of sleep, I didn't watch the match.

I contemplated putting spoilers and then didn't. The day hasn't started well.
