Aura failing to record Channel 5 HD

I wouldn't bank on it. With some channels (probably BBC) I've had a series link that's finished. It stays in the schedule showing nothing to record, hence no information. Weeks later it suddenly starts recording again. But on the other hand I have had series links that don't work. A long-winded answer to say it isn't a reliable indicator.

Those go to the bottom of the list and state 0 programmes until reactivated. The one I had today was still active at the top of the schedule list and did not state 0 programmes but showed No information available. Showing no info for an active schedule booking may still be a valid warning method, I shall be checking to see.

EDIT As expected the Ch5 SD failed to record whilst the Ch5+1 was fine. The Ch5 SD booking now shows as set for 6 days time with 1 programme as a series record and the Ch5 HD is also scheduled for series record in 6 days time but oddly says 2 programmes

Aura Schedule list Channel 5 SD series record for Police Interceptors 20.00 shows no info available "in 2 hours" and "3 programmes". No "R" symbol is showing for the recording in its slot on the TV list though the TV list gives info for the show. I am expecting another failed recording and further evidence that my theory is correct. Channel 5+1 series record also set and that does give the shows info in the schedule list and I expect it will record without issue.

Looking ahead in 6 days I have Rich house Poor house set to series record on Ch5 SD, Ch5 HD and Ch5+1 all 3 show the "R" in their slots on the TV guide all with show info but in the Schedule list Ch5 HD gives No info available whilst the other 2 give show info.

So I'm a bit late to this. My Aura shows "in 10 minutes" and "2 programmes" on the schedule page. Info available after pressing "i" tells me about today's episode and shows an upcoming episode next week - info available if I select it and press "i". The EPG has an "R" against today's episode and next weeks. Info available on both.
As I use padding, the recording has now started (19:57).
Rich House, Poor House - SD and HD have info.

That's all assuming I've correctly understood what you mean.

As expected Channel 5 SD scheduled recording at 20.00 failed to record, it did not even leave a broken camera failed recording notice in the schedule list it just vanished from the list.

If you are referring to tonights Police interceptors on Ch 5 SD it shows it is an Aura issue then.

Last night set up series link recordings for Police Interceptors on 5HD, Police Suspect No1 on 5SD and Traffic Cops on 5+1.
All recorded successfully. Central Scotland region.

It's an odd one for sure. I went through my schedule yesterday with several series recordings on several channels but the only active one without info was for Channel 5 and as others have been having issues with Channel 5 it suggested they were to blame but as you and davey64 are not affected it suggests yet another Aura issue. Although I have had other failed recording on other unrelated channels they always leave the failed recording notice and the broken camera symbol and though not certain I do not think they stated No information available before failing but I will need to keep an eye out for confirmation. If it is only Channel 5 I wonder if blame can be shared, could Channel 5 be changing or doing something that my Aura should but fails to compensate for but yours can cope with ?.

It is almost annoying enough to drive me to Freely but I will just vent my anger by biting the finger of my Korean dentist when I next see him. Actually we have not even had a whisper here about the Aura EZ for weeks, I wonder if it has proven to operate ok for people now and recording well or is it that nobody has one?

It's an odd one for sure.

If you were a novice I'd probably suggest you check that 5SD is from the correct transmitter. Or suggest you try a reset. But I expect you've already done that.
I don't have my Aura permanently connected to the internet, but I do regularly connect and update some of the apps - (checking the play store - quite often an Android TV app gets updated.) I can't remember any Humax apps being updated recently, and there is certainly no system update.
There is something peculiar with the D3&4 multiplex. The blank screen with almost no sound problem still exists - I've (not) seen it on Film4 and ITV4 recently. Whether your problems with C5 are connected in any way with that mess I don't know. I wouldn't have thought so.
That leaves a problem with your Aura, but what and why? Or there is a problem with C5SD - but it doesn't seem to be a national one. I'm sure prpr will chip in and tell me I'm talking a lot of bow locks - but D3&4 is regionalised, is it possible the local region is somehow messed up? Unfortunately, I don't think there's enough information on digitalbitrate.com about D3&4 on various transmitters that would help.

As for the Aura EZ. If no-one is winging either it is an exceptionally good machine with no problems or it is a heap of and everyone's returned it. Your guess is as good as mine.
