Now getting pop up message when accessing iPlayer, will stop working from October 31st 2026. Really disappointed about this as I do use the app quite a bit along with YouTube. Notice on the iPlayer HUMAX supported page it does list quite a lot of earlier STB models that the 4000T/5000T will be still ok, this seems odd to me.

Not sure but I think I read that ITVX was never supported on the 4000T/5000T, and either 4 or 5 has stopped working. Combine that with iPlayer going and the streaming capabilities of this model have gone down the toilet! I only ever used mine for trying to watch some streaming only 4 programmes (Walter Presents), but the player was 
cutting the programme off before it had finished. (The 5000T rather than the Aura because it was possible to use the RCA connectors to record the video/audio going to the TV)

It worked OK before it changed from the previous name (forget what it was) to ITVX, but never worked after that. I recommend a separate dongle or box such as Chromecast, Firestick or Roku to handle all your streaming needs. I use a Chromecast with Google TV dongle which has all the usual suspects included as inbuilt apps (iPlayer, Netflix etc) and any services with no app for the dongle can usually be cast/streamed/ from the app or web site on your phone, tablet or laptop.

An annoying thing about the Firestick (at least the one I have) is that there is no TV source change button on the remote... you can use the voice command button and say "change to HDMI 3" and that does actually work for my setup. Or, what I usually do is reach for another remote that has the TV source change button - like the Google TV remote actually does have on it! Having two sticks is useful, as often there are bugs on particular apps on one stick... so, you get used to using the other stick for that app instead.
