BBC radio 3 FreeView broadcasts encrypted by Humax 1800T after 14th Aug 2018?

It will be interesting to see how quickly the count tends towards 0. Currently it's 115.
Or maybe it will sort itself out now, as there is nothing after the 6th with the flag set.
This might seem like a silly question. How can you find the Enc flag is going to be set from the EPG? Remember this is the 1800T/2000T section and we don't have access to the CF.

Does that mean nobody can post information gathered by other means? I'll take it you mean to ask whether there is a way to gather this info using only a vanilla unit.

I dunno. I don't have an 1800T/2000T but I expect the answer is "you can't" and you have to rely on those who can query such stuff on our CF'd T2s.

I wonder. It must be embedded in a transport stream somewhere. Might have a look when I get off t'net.

It appeared to be resolved on Thursday. After my last post I couldn't get anything recording with Enc appearing. No wonder I couldn't find anything in the .ts files. :)

It wasn't. Here's the stuff from today:

The stuff from today - is this supposed to be programmes that will display Enc? If so, then it doesn't correspond to my experience from the Waltham transmitter. "Charles Paris" had no Enc here.

Edit: A quick check of the .hmt file for Charles Paris reveals no Enc (0x3dc = 0x04) but location 0x431 = 0x01 (Number of copies allowed when 'Copy Limited' flag is set in 0x3DC ). Last week's CP didn't specify a number of copies.

The data on my T2 in Waltham-land is the same as on my T2 in Mendip-land.
Here's the EPG data for that programme for today and tomorrow. I can't speak for what the 1800T/2000T boxes do, but I'm sure that today's would have displayed Enc. on the T2 - it's a bit difficult to tell now as it's history.

Interesting how they change the Content Type between R4 and R4X though. The repeat of tomorrow's R4 next weekend on R4X has it back as Drama.
Digging a bit further, here's some of the raw data for the first of these:
Code:
Descriptor header:
                        descriptor: 0x76 [118] (content id)

There should not be any 0x7e/126 descriptors on SD or radio, only on HD.
Thanks are due to @af123 for the excellent epg utility which allows relative ease in poking about with this stuff.

Those last two posts are very interesting. (Really!)
I had already recorded the Charles Paris at 05:30 before this conversation started and there was no Enc on the 2000T. Strange!

Makes me think I need to mug up on the extraction of epg info from a recorded programme so that I can investigate on a 2000T or even my PC dongle.

I found an easy way - of course, this doesn't aid understanding.
Use TSReader with a dongle and you can get an xml document containing eit data from one multiplex with minimal effort. Hidden away in the xml document is most of the info similar to post #31. Pop! (piece of p...) :D
