Cannot access HDR-FOX T2 using browser

It's normal for it to appear to freeze at several points. How long have you left it?
 
Are you sure it is freezing, could the screen just be pausing while a long task is being carried out? the fix-disk process can take hours
 
It had done nothing (with Pass 1 progress stuck at 25.3%) for around 10 minutes, but as you suggested I have re-run Fix-Disk and left it even longer. This time, it eventually resumed, and completed. The "read-only" issue has been resolved, and now the web browser is working. It remains to be seen whether the intermittent freezing when accessing the Media menu has also been resolved, but I can now press ahead.

I did some tests last night with Wifi and didn't have any problems going into maintenance mode with either static IP or DHCP. I suspect some wireless routers might not be fast enough at handing out an address though.

CFW 2.15 will have some changes in it which should help here.
