Ch5 always starts 5 min late, never has synopsis, and doesn't show the red "To be recorded" icon.

Channel 5 recordings always miss the first 5 minutes and never show the synopsis. This is occuring on both our FVT-5000Ts and on HD and SD as well. All other channels are OK and work/display as they should.

I thought I had fixed it by deleting the channels on each mux on each box and retuning the relevant muxes. ( PSB2/46 and PSB3/40 on Sutton Coldfield ) and for the last two weeks it worked but today the problem started again.

And of course by deleting channels you lose all your timers.

Has anyone ever had a similar problem?

Regards, Rog

Given the problems reported for the Aura and C5, I've been testing both an Aura and a 5000T with recordings. I've switched the 5000T to accurate recordings. I can see no problems with recordings on 5 and there is no lack of synopsis for the recorded programmes. At the time of checking (about 08:30) todays episodes in a series are NOT showing a synopsis. When I brought the 5000T out of standby the EPG looked full. Suddenly after changing from BBC1 to C5 many channels reverted to Now/Next only - including some BBC ones. The EPG repopulated slowly. Test: A couple of children's programmes (short!) seem to have recorded properly on C5 and C5HD. This is for the Waltham-on-the-Wolds transmitter.

I usually get my Humaxes to automatically come out of standby onto BBC1 early in the morning for a while in an attempt to keep the EPG populated. The 5000T usually turns itself off (2 hours idle?). That has usually worked for me.

The EPG schedule data on PSB2 is still broken beyond belief, even after all these months. Clearly the message didn't get through to the clueless lumps at ITV, or if it did they either didn't understand it or just ignored it. Or perhaps they just don't care.

Don't leave your receiver tuned to any service on PSB2 and things will probably work OK.

That is what I usually do. You did see that I switched from BBC1 SD to C5SD and large part of the EPG suddenly vanished. What are we supposed to do? Not use the same Humax for recording anything from PSB2 as watching anything live on PSB2? :frantic: SNAFU!

Probably a result of this https://www.tvbeurope.com/media-man...nd-channel-4s-freeview-channel-into-the-cloud although the MD is now one Steve Holebrook https://www.channel4.com/press/news/steve-holebrook-appointed-managing-director-digital-34 who was formerly with Arqiva and the 700 MHz clearance project.

Complaining to them directly might make a difference (rather than via ITV and/or C4 and.or C5)? {Especially with your technical evidence of the issues.}

My bull :poop: detector went off when I read "leverage", "BT" and "cloud" in the first article and that Holebrook was "thrilled" and "excellent partners Arqiva and BT.” in the second.

No wonder things don't work properly - BT.
