change radio recordings to mp3?

I've recorded a radio programme to the hard drive. i'd like to download it (I have the media bundle) to my PC and then transfer it as an mp3 to my mum's mp3 player.

Is this possible?

Should be very easy, all you need is software to convert the .ts transport stream file to .mp3. Google .ts to .mp3.

I use rec2mp3 available from the Toppy user site:-

Works on both .ts and .rec files which are essentially the same format.
