I don't record any HD stuff so there's no need for it.

As ITV have already changed some channels to HD only and I just read in AVForums that the BBC will be closing their SD channels on Freesat in early 2024 I have decided to get ahead of the game and installed Nowster's Patch on my Foxsats.

As Firefox won't download the file as it says it's a security risk I used a Telnet session and opkg command. So far so good as HD recordings are now showing unencrypted, i.e. no ENC flag. Only problem I can see is that my disks will fill up faster when I record HD! Anyone know the ratio for SD to HD file sizes?

As a rough rule-of-thumb: 2:1 (HiDef:StDef). It ought to be more like 4:1, were it not for the better compression of H.264.

Sorry my mistake; not thinking clearly. It needs the thread splitting and I don't appear to be able to do that so hopefully someone with the correct privileges will tidy things up.
