You weren't watching the one show then. It seemed as if every person behind the cameras still had their phone switched on and the alert went off just as they were doing the introductions. Was quite amusing to watch the decision to carry on while not knowing if the building was on fire as they didn't know what the alarm was.

Isn't the alarm supposed to cut through even if you're phone is on silent. Presumably the crew were on silent. You'd need to turn the alarms off or the phone off to stop the alarm sounding.
I'd have thought someone in the gallery would be passing messages into presenter and crew ears saying this isn't a fire alarm.

But what's the point if nothing comes of the testing?
The best way to get something properly tested is to release it, and get more people involved, as long as you actually plan to do something about the inevitable bug reports.
For it to be limited to only a very few selected individuals for so long means it must be really bad and the existing bugs haven't been addressed in any meaningful way.
Why would they know either, in the few seconds available, given the distraction that all their phones going off too would be causing?
