Disable front power button

Bit of an odd request, but is there any package or built in way to disable the front power button on the HDR-FOX-T2?

My 1-year old has discovered it and he's driving us mad! He just can't resist that shiny power logo in the middle of the glowing ring! I can disable my amp's front display easily, but can't find anything for the Hummy.

How about using the redring package to reduce the brightness to be less attractive to young fingers

My granddaughter (now 2.5) has so far shown no interest in the button but we did place her toy box in front of the TV as a barrier.
The cat on the other hand frequently changes channel by walking or sitting on the remote controls

Are you proposing training the cat or the toddler?

I am not sure the wife would appreciate a charged remote

I'm not a cat (or dog) person, but I prefer them to toddlers.
