DVD Authoring with menus

The main problem with Vegas is that it doesn't recognise native .ts files from the T2. Although, oddly, it does recognise .ts files exported from VideoReDo.

I've read on here somewhere about people simply changing the file extension on Hummy files to make software accept them. I think it was to .mp4 ? Won't take long to try the common ones and see if Vegas likes 'em?

I have Sony Platinum 11 along with other video editing software. If someone could upload a small sample of a file from a Humax Freeview HD pvr SD recording (plus HD as well if you want me to try AVCHD to DVD)

SD files in the TS format should be re-named mpg rather than mp4 as they are mpeg2 files

That trick can work if the software in question is merely confused by the file name, but regrettably it doesn't fool Serif.
