EPG goes blank

Hi I have HDR T2 1.03.12 CF 3.14 I've been searching for an answer to this but so far without results. In the last 2 weeks occasionally the EPG goes blank with no program information then comes back after a short while also but not sure if this is connected fails to record a pre-set programme or stops recording part way through. I have tried doing a system flush and running fix-flash-packages and adjusting settings. Any suggestions appreciated

Are you tuned to ITV1, Ch 4, Ch 5 or any channel on the PSB2 MUX? If so, the EPG and Now/Next data on this MUX has been screwed up for about 2 weeks. Try tuning to BBC1 (HD or SD), leave it alone for 20 mins or so and you should find the EPG will populate fully.

Its the on -screen EPG I suppose I'm more concerned about failing to record a pre-set programme or stopping recording part way through. They started about the same time as the blank EPG in the last 2 weeks

Has anything else changed in that time? Have you got a foreign multiplex? What transmitter are you on and what does the WebIf's Mux. Info. page say the transmitter channels are?
And, as TimK2015 asked, what service is the box receiving when you observe this?

This seems to me to indicate that the EPG cache isn't retaining data. Anybody concur?
Depends which cache you mean. The one in memory or the one on disk?
I believe the one on disk is only written during normal operation, and only read at startup to provide a populated EPG immediately (albeit potentially out of date depending how long the box has been off for).
The one in memory (and on disk) should then be continously updated by what's received over the air and displayed on screen on request.

The only thing that has changed in the last 2 weeks I can think of is that I upgraded the CF from 3.3 to 3.4 Most of the time the EPG is fully populated and in the evening when the box has been on for about 3 hours I check the recording schedule and notice the EPG is blank or a recoding has failed or shut off part way through. I will look at what service the box is receiving when it happens tonight. I'm on the Belmont transmitter
