EPG/Now-Next on Freesat

I'm experiencing problems with Freesat tonight. Firstly I noticed my recording of 'House of Games' had overrun by 30 minutes. Other scheduled programmes on BBC4 had failed to start. I have chunks of EPG missing - both whole channels and bits of channels. Now/Next is showing the programmes for around 18:00 which could explain the overrun and the fail to starts. I'm seeing the symptoms on both my Foxsats and HDR-1010 so I'm guessing it's down to Freesat and not my kit. Downdetector is showing a few reports but I guess viewers may not have noticed yet

Same here with foxsat HDR running CF. Not checked this morning, but setting manual recordings until it gets sorted.

My Foxsats seem to be OK now but the HDR-1010 and HB-1000 are not populating the EPG or Now-Next.

Have left the HB on to see if it will populate. Still nothing after 20 minutes
 
Checking using the 'i' button while watching live broadcast. I think this is what the schedule uses to stop and start recordings.
It's patchy, but some channels are still showing program information of what was being broadcast yesterday evening.
An example being E4 which is showing the Simpsons in Ireland, but the 'i' button shows Hollioakes from yesterday (at time of writing).
Doesn't inspire confidence.
 
Mine failed to record stuff yesterday evening BBC, ITV1 and C4 - despite being shown in the schedule and main EPG seeming OK with red record icons.

Now and next was, however, stuck at around 1700-ish??

DigitalSpy has a thread on the same.

Probably wise to report issue to Freesat and/or BBC Reception Advice to get the correct bit of kit 'nudged'.

EDIT Now/Next is variable on my postcode BBC ONE East on time, BBC TWO 0155-0200, ITV ok, C4 2200-2305, C5 1700-1800 BBC 3 & 4 also wrong...

Still 'patchy' both across channels and within a single channel. Example, Young Sheldon scheduled to record 10:30-11:00 on E4. The recording started at 10:20 and continued after 11:00 until manually stopped at 12:26. The 'i' button on E4 still (at 15:10) showing the 10:30 to 11:00 information. The inference is that the signalling flagged the nominal 10:30 start 10 minutes early but the expected signalling at 11:00 didn't happen. For some channels the 'i' button appears correct but it is hard to monitor across the board.
Some method to log the program stop/start signalling would help.
 
Have switched to padded recordings on my Foxsats and given up with my HDR-1010/HB-1000 for now as the EPG always starts up with nothing whereas the Foxsat retains it somewhere.

I seem to remember an issue like this some time last year but I was not using the HDR/HB receivers then. Don't know how long it took to fix then as I ran with padded recordings for few weeks.
 
From a very quick look earlier (1745) and the Now/Next seem to have the correct times.

Was certainly an issue at 1030 or so. I notified BBC RA a bit later than that, not had any reply yet (and may never get one). Nothing noted under faults on their website.
 
Thanks Rodders53. Just had a quick spin through the channels I tend to record and it looks to be back to normal. Question is - do I trust it enough to switch back to auto record for this evening.
 
Personally I've duplicated some recordings on to my HDR-Fox-T2 as last night's CBB was missed on the -HDR (despite being marked/scheduled) * . Eastenders worked fine though.

These events happen, but pretty rarely in the grand scheme. Broadcaster errors with SCRID/CRID happen, too.
Catchup TV allows most such missed items to be viewed (albeit with annoying adverts) if vital.
 
I am relying more on Freesat lately as my Freeview signal is deteriorating due to tree growth over the years. I lost Emley Moor 5-6 years, or more, ago due to the trees in Wath Wood. I've been using Crosspool in Sheffield since then but the top end MUXes on RF42/45 can be a bit dicky when it's wet and windy. I'm using YouTubeDL on my Fox T2 to download from iPlayer and Sounds. The annoying adverts on the other channels put me off using them to catchup. Generally I find enough repeat showings to watch what I want.
