    Hi,
Installed custom portal a few times now using 1.02.20 & 1.02.27. Everything seems to work except for epg. I keep getting these error messages in the web interface :

Runtime Error: /mod/webif/lib/epg.class:395: no such table: epg.epg in procedure 'epg' called at file "status.jim", line 85 at file "/mod/webif/lib/epg.class", line 395

Anyone know what this means and possible solution.

    Thank you.

It means that your box doesn't have an EPG database. Can you look at the EPG log file (epgd.log) through the web interface diagnostics page and post what's in there?

More problems after numerous reinstalls custom-portal no longer appears. epgd log has nothing? found some errors in xinit:

    >>> Contents of /var/log/epgd.log 0.00 bytes
    >>> Contents of /var/log/xinit.log 320.00 bytes

Try running the boot2fix diagnostic from that screen and see if the general diagnostic is any better.

Thank you, that fixed the general diagnostic errors and custom-portal works after a force reinstall. Annoyingly I still have the epg error and no log messages. I also get these messages when trying to search the epg :

Runtime Error: /mod/webif/lib/epg.class:88: expected number but got "" in procedure '.00000000000000000008>' called at file "search.jim", line 101 in procedure 'epg ended' called at file "/mod/lib/jim/oo.tcl", line 46 at file "/mod/lib/jim/oo.tcl", line 62 at file "/mod/webif/lib/epg.class", line 88

What's in modinit.log? That's the log that will include the EPG startup.

Get access to your Humax using telnet (http://wiki.hummy.tv/wiki/Telnet) then type:

    Code:
    humax# /mod/etc/init.d/S60parseepg start

(Ignoring the humax# bit which is the prompt)

and see if that kicks out any errors.

doing this from mac terminal reported this :

    humax# /mod/etc/init.d/S60parseepg start
humax# stat: No such file or directory

Can you see if you have a Humax-created EPG database on the disk?

    Code:
    humax# ls -l /mnt/hd1 /mnt/hd1/dvbepg

    nope it hasn't?

Ah, is this a HD model?
If so, the EPG database that the Humax software creates should be at /media/drive1/epgsavedata
I would remove that file, reboot then go into the guide and see if it comes back, then reboot again and see if the web interface database /media/drive1/epg.db appears.

Thanks for help on this but no luck still. The epgsavedata wasn't in that location just these folders :

    drwx------ 2 root root 16384 Jun 6 00:13 lost+found
    drwxrwxrwx 8 root root 4096 Jan 1 2000 mod

If you go into the guide, do you see the full EPG data for the next 7 days?

    nope. nothing.

This seems a bit obvious - but it does have an aerial signal does it?

You beat me to it : )

Can you describe the full setup that you have, including model, hard disk and anything that seems relevant, like aerial connection!

    jwool New Member

Yes, has full signal. The epg is fine when viewing on the tv but nothing appears in the web interface. My setup :

    model - HD FOX T2
attached media is usb kingston G3 8gb datatraveler ext2 formatted. I wondered if the key might be the problem?
Webif doesn't seem to know the humax version? but it's 1.0.02.20

Not sure what else to say...everything seems to work fine (webif, ftp, custom-portal) except the epg doesn't seem to be working in the web interface.

All I get is an error message and a blank epg :

Runtime Error: /mod/webif/lib/epg.class:395: no such table: epg.epg in procedure 'epg' called at file "status.jim", line 85 at file "/mod/webif/lib/epg.class", line 395

Could possibly be a bug with new version? :
