Filesystem /mnt/hd2 on /dev/sda2 is read-only??

Is the percentage progress changing? It is expected that it could stay at the same value for hours (or days?) but should eventually make some progress.

That's odd but It should be shown on the front panel display as well.
e.g. (telnet output)

It sounds to me that it does not reach that stage

It could be that the telnet client is not displaying the last line correctly as it is repeatedly rewritten or perhaps an old version of CF that doesn't show progress.

Upshot is I bought a Seagate 2TB SkyHawk from amazon for £64. Fitted it and all is well. Would like to thank all the people that helped..much appreciated.
