FOXSAT-HDR: Can I gain access to existing recordings in the absence of an LNB connection and no channels tuned in?

So this does work to get round that stuck in a tuning loop issue.

So now the questions are:

• What is the format of the .fcl file
• How small can it be made and still work

needed the Telnet o "foxsat ip address" to get into the boxes

You put the ip address on the end of the command i.e. telnet a.b.c.d for whatever value of a.b.c.d

I then realised that Telnet goes in at root on both my machines... not /mnt4/opt/

You sure that's not /mnt/hd4/opt ? As that's the same as specifying just /opt
...as my instructions use full paths in the commands, it doesn't matter that telnet into the box goes to / by default.

NB I used your commands in cut and paste (edited for sda1 where applicable) and they failed to write to the USB stick.

None of this really matters anyway as @trellis hasn't been seen since 25th July... Although it might be helpful to another random person in the future.
