General incompetence

Wonder if that'll be gone soon. Currently showing "Airing Break" from 06:00 on the 29th and nothing from 31st onwards.
That would have to be a record then - less than a week from inception to demise. And their EPG didn't work at all on the first day either.
A taster channel for the streaming service?
I doubt anybody cares or even knows about it.

I see Hobbycraft TV have nothing but placeholders after tomorrow. Maybe this is normal for them.
Likewise, some of the (so-called) Great! channels have "To Be Announced" from 9am on 1st Nov.
And Channel 4 et al are up to their semi-regular tricks with nothing for the TV day on that day too. I wonder how long before they twig this time.

(And don't start sentences with "And".)

I wouldn't have known about it except you posted it on your "updates" thread - which, of course, is absolutely useless for me as I don't have a HD/HDR-Fox-T2 with CF! (But it's a way to find out if I need/can be bothered to do a rescan.)

And why not?

General incompetence on Waltham transmitter, if not anywhere else, where U&Drama was broadcasting in some strange aspect ratio yesterday evening (Saturday 25/10/25). Just possible U&DaveJaVu was also mangled.

It'll be the same everywhere. This stuff is centrally coded, so if the broadcaster sends it wrong, it'll get muxed wrong to all.
They just can't be bothered/don't know. But the same can be said for the major broadcasters as well, especially in news.
Barry Norman lives!
Rory Bremner does. Barry allegedly never...

Looks like the Z-team was on duty yesterday in the Red Bee Playout centre for BBC One:

To summarise: Countryfile cut short by 15 minutes, Celebrity Escape to the Country (1hr) replaced by an ordinary Escape to the Country (45m and no CRIDs) with the last 15 minutes of Countryfile on the start. All because the Tennis (itself a technical shambles) overran by 15 minutes and no-one can seemingly work the computer.
This is their bl@@dy job FFS.
Read their blurb and weep.

Cuts at ITV are really biting hard now. They can't even afford to buy 8 characters for their news programmes at the weekend:

What do they think they are trying to achieve by attempting to change history after it's already happened?
In this case, 32267 recorded correctly from 12:00-17:00 and 32268 started recording at 17:00 for about 11 minutes.
Then they stop the latter and attempt to restart the former for roughly 4 minutes. After that they restart 32268 again.
Fox-T2 software doesn't cope with this at all and just stopped at 17:11, presumably because it thinks it's already recorded the programmes (which it has) when they become active again in each case.
It's not like the times actually mean anything either, as it's effectively one continuous programme.
F'ing clueless idiots.

Another bunch of clueless idiots at Ch4 have forgotton to upload the EPG for programs later than 6am on Friday, as Ch4, 4+1 and 4HD are all blank for Friday and the weekend.

This is a reasonably regular occurrence. What is new this time is that there is nothing for Sat, Sun or Mon either.
I wonder how long it will take them to notice...

Well, someone seems to have switched the EPG on as programs I have on series record have now appeared.

I think I pointed out when the channel first started that "wedotv Movies UK" doesn't have a full EPG. Currently (Wednesday 06:20) the EPG shows "Airing Break" from Sunday 06:00. Looks like a 4 day EPG at best. If it follows the usual pattern there won't be an airing break and entries for Sunday will appear sometime.
