Which reflects badly on Humax. If custom firmware can do this said:
Couldn't agree more!! Like a few others here, hadn't spotted this coming, OH switched on and left it a while before switching over the set the timer for something, by which time 3 mins had expired, Humax in their wisdom had re-tuned and wiped out recording schedule & favs - end result, OH hits the roof!!

Notes to self:
1. must switch off auto-updates/retuning
2. make diary note for next cock-up on 17 oct
3. make time to load custom firmware ...

PS: there is no transmitter in Ipswich. The nearest ones are Sudbury, and I believe a relay at Manningtree.
