Humax says it crashed multipled times in a short amount of time but I was listening to music during that time (via SMB)

Hi All,

Bit of an odd one. On webif there was a crash message saying there were 10 instances (which seemed rather high). All seemed fine yesterday. I have not updated anything recently - yesterday I just changed some recordings scheduled for today. I checked out the crash.log (and also ran the fix flash packages) and noticed that they were all in a very short amount of time. However, the even more confusing thing was that I was actually using the box during that time - listening (from about 13:45) to some music until about 15:00 when I paused it on my phone (using BubbleUPNP on android phone and headed out for a few hours.

any thoughts? Nothing else seems to be showing it's got a probem - eg the schedule is still there and it's not asking for a retune.

webif error log: (I'm running webif 1.5.4) the only update pending is for webif-channelicons from 1.2.19 to 1.2.20.

other info:
Web Interface Version: 1.5.4
Custom Firmware Version: 3.13 (build 4028)
Humax Version: 1.03.12 (kernel HDR_CFW_3.13)
Loader Version: a7.33
2TB drive, 112 reallocated sectors count but that's from about 6+ months ago and all tests are fine. All short offline tests since then have not shown up any problems.

FYI - We had two powercuts on Thursday evening wihtin about 5 minutes of each other. The box was on but not recording anything - plus I have the rewind live tv option turned off as don't really use it. Could these crash reports be somehow a delayed report from that?

Thanks

Rodp

Weird.
Try running the crashdiag diagnostic to see if there is a common cause for the crashes.
It is suspicous that so many of the crashes have almost the same uptime! Looks like some timer driven issue

Remember the crashes are shown using UTC aka GMT so didn't start until 15:14 BST when you had gone out

The pretty_size file problem shows at least one file system error but I would have expected the fix flash packages to have reinstalled webif and fixed that.

I'm wondering if this app. doesn't just download the whole file fairly quickly, and then the DLNA capability within it is what upsets the T2.
Have you got the dlna-filter package installed?

The lack of /mod/webif/lib/pretty_size is an odd one. If the file is corrupted or deleted, then that smacks of disk problems. You should run a long SMART test as part of the fixdisk process.
It's worth installing CF 3.14 (via the custom-firmware-hdr package or USB stick) or the fix-disk package first - you can then do the SMART test without taking the machine down to Maintenance Mode (then use "-n -r -y" as options to fixdisk).

In the interim, you can fix WebIf by reinstalling it - the fixweb item on the Administration (Telnet) menu via a command prompt or Webshell Command Line should do it.
