Humax Sound Bar HD Sound Issue

If I select an HD channel an awful noise comes through the sound bar but the picture is OK. This happens if the sound bar is connected to the TV or the Humax DVR, terrestrial aerial model.

Does your TV have a built-in Hi-Def Tuner?, if so, do you still get the noise if you use the TV's internal Hi-Def tuner, rather than passing sound to the sound bar from the Humax.
BTW
If your Humax is a terrestrial model, this post is in the wrong forum thread, can you give us the model number of the Humax, TV and sound bar?

Hi Ezra Pound. Yes, TV (Sony) has an HD tuner. Only get the bad noise using the Humax sound bar, on TV speakers, no problem

How is the soundbar connected? HDMI or optical or RCA? What happens of you connect the Humax direct to the soundbar?

1) Sony TV model number
2) Humax Sound bar model number
3) Humax Terrestrial DVR model number
4) Humax DVR >> Humax soundbar = O.K.? (gomezz #2 above)
5) Sony TV >> Humax soundbar (no Humax DVR connected) = O.K.?
6) Humax DVR >> Sony TV internal speakers = O.K.? (as in #3 above?)
7) What is Humax soundbar connection type (gomezz #1 above)
