It's a long time since I saw one of those! They are rubbish at sucking dirt and grit out of carpets, though.

Then complain to them that it's overheating. Then save yourself some money by not renewing it.

Got nowt to do with the filters. The design of the system uses the air flow to cool the motor (which is as small as they can make it, so needs as much cooling as it can get).Clean your filters!
I don't think it is overheating, if an a appliance consumes a 1000Watts a large proportion of that is going to end up as heatThen complain to them that it's overheating. Then save yourself some money by not renewing it.
