Is it possible to get ITV1 HD Granada in the London area as it's supposed to be a better quality picture.
Can you then put it in your favorites list so its convenient to watch at anytime?

I don't think so. It's not on the Non-freesat list.
Also I don't think you can add itv Granada to the favourite list either. I have not tried.

You can if you tell it you live in Manchester during an intial setup.

I wasn't aware that regional ITV programmes were broadcast in HD.
Anybody out there in the Granada area with a FreesatHD box?

    That is a different issue.

There are two free to air versions of ITV1-HD London (1440 x 1080) and Granada (1920 x 1080). There are two other ITV1-HD regions only avaialable on a sky box due to encryption. Both the free to air versions are available on the freesat epg depending on postcode. Both together with STV-HD can be viewed/recorded in non-freesat mode. Single cable users can actually record either as the firmware will substitute the other if one is not recordable (one is horizontal polarisation and the other is vertical)

As I have said elsewhere: I learn something new every day!
Is it necessary to do a factory reset to change the postcode?

No there is an option to change the postcode in the Freesat tune menu. You may lose your reservation list so make a note of it first.
