Ah - to me, "NVR" means non-volatile RAM. In your case it appears to mean something-Video-Recorder.
Context is everything. As an engineer, I have never used "NVM" but often "NVR".NVM = non-volatile memory, NVR = Network Video Recorder

People often talk about "PIN number", but it doesn't mean they are right.nvram is the accepted short form for non volatile ram.
