I live in a boundary area between 3 sources of Freeview and recently regularly lose ITV1 from the channel list. To get it back I have to re-tune all channels again and this is getting frustrating.
This is the tuning I do:
DVT-T
23
26
22
28
DVT-T2
30
After selecting a channel in the past I would be given a choice of at least East Anglia and London. I have noticed recently I have been offered a choice but the choice only has one option, London with a blank area below where the other option was. Or it may offer UK with a blank area below. I have not seen an East Anglia option for some while. A UK option seems strange.
After manual tuning I preview the output from each channel and usually have maybe three for each station, one is corrupt and two are ok. I choose one of the ok ones and delete the other two.
Are changes currently taking place with the signal sources or am I not selecting correctly? Perhaps I should try an automatic search. However, doing that in the past has brought up many channels with very poor signal quality.
My Freeview is supplied from a communal aerial and is the best quality available and installed by a reputable company.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why I lose this particular channel and whether I am choosing the best method of tuning?
