Media mistakes

Only nine tourists in two years? Not very popular is it? Do you think it's meant to say 4.5 million? And why didn't I spot the mistake until it was pointed out? I just assumed the million. "Oh watta mistaka to maka!"
 
The article does say 4.5 million.

As for noticing it, I certainly wasn't reading the caption but something triggered me to look at it. Same thing happens with spelling mistakes and the odd typo in things I'm not reading but clearly some part of my brain is checking for patterns that don't make sense.
