No default authority data available for this channel

Thanks both. Looks as though Pick (& Pick+1) are not in the 'Default Authority Database'. Hoping someone knows how to update it.

Does 'David500' ring any bells Trev?

For reference, key results from forum search:

I'm not a Foxsat guru, but if I were to summarise what I glean from the above:
  • A recording cannot be set on the Foxsat through the EPG unless the service in question is registered in the Default Authority database;
  • In the absence of updates from Humax, somebody with knowledge and access has to make the appropriate updates in the Foxsat CF repository, then the user incorporate those updates by the usual CF package update mechanism.

Since Pick has been around since at least before the last time David500 posted, are you sure it's not just that you haven't refreshed your packages?

Yes - channel icons updated when I did it yesterday and it now says "No packages are available for upgrade. Try updating the package list from the Internet using the button above. " after a refresh.

Yes of course it does. He is the guy that updates the default thingy as a couple of people (including me) have said in your thread on AVF. He was last seen there on Jan 26th and last seen her on the same date.

Updating the channel icons WILL NOT alter the default thingy. That has to be done as a separate exercise.

The DefaultAuthority has been updated. Pick & Pick+1 changed transponder during March.

Update your package list in the usual way for the package(s) listed in the "Upgrades" tab.
Remember to reboot the Foxsat-HDR after updating your package list to pick up the updated Default Authority data.

I am having the 'No default authority data available for this channel. Unable to set the recordin'
issue with Sony Movies. Is it possible to update please? Thank you :)

I've had this come up when trying to record a Quest HD program.
I see on another post that it needs an entry adding to a data base (CRID?).

The last techie reply to that post was in 2016. Is support to add the database entry available?
Is it something we can do ourselfs?

Now .... Where is my Google MoJo .... :)

For future reference ... my google mojo eventualy worked.
The database is being updated (thank you all involved)
One needs to "update packages" on the package managment webif.
An epg update appears.
Thank you again :)

Mods: I recommend merging this thread with the practically identical thread here: https://hummy.tv/forum/threads/no-d...his-channel-unable-to-set-the-recording.7358/

The "master" thread for this problem appears to be this one: https://hummy.tv/forum/threads/pick...his-channel-unable-to-set-the-recording.9658/

The DefaultAuthority has been updated.

Update your package list in the usual way for the package(s) listed in the "Upgrades" tab.
Remember to reboot the Foxsat-HDR after updating your package list to pick up the updated Default Authority data.

But bear in mind that the 'problem' will not be fixed by the 'update' unless David500 has worked his magic on it.

I've had the "No default authority data available for this channel" on a few channels for a few weeks now. Is Davd500 (or anyone) still able to sort it?

I've tried the WebIF >> Package Management >> Check for updates; then Upgrade all packages and reboot a few times.

So far I've noticed it on the following channels:

ITV2 - serviceid 10202
ITV3 - serviceid 10163
ITV4 - serviceid 10164
ITV4+1 - serviceid 10245

:)

I think he is having issues with his Foxsat-HDR. Try a PM on AV forums.
