Odd Behaviour of LED Candles

My sister received a set of 3 LED 'candles' as a birthday present. They are different heights, and are wax coated so look quite realistic; a lot nicer than I'd imagined. Anyway, they come with a remote control and can change colours, or stay one colour of your choice; they can also flicker or shine a solid light.
The reason I am posting is that while all three candles respond to the supplied remote control, one of them also responds to the remote control of a Samsung TV: volume up = white, numbers = colours, menu = off, and channel up = on. The fact that this only affects one candle is strange: it must be responding to two different sets of remote codes at the same time.
