Will update the 'puzzle' post with the amount of valid answers I currently have
that doesn't 'track' (as @gomezz pointed out / asked)... but I did post the rules later on, so I'm obviously no good at making puzzles... but did think it was quite 'cool' (can you still say that now?) that the puzzle grid was from 'Newest Members' tile-looking thingy on the Members page. Not very good at puzzles. The only obvious thing I can see is a Java derived language - Scala. Not even sure that counts as a computer industry acronym.
It's lacking an R...
As in that (so-called) music style with a silent "C"?Ohhh... for 'RAP'
You got it... the one that should be preceded with "S"As in that (so-called) music style with a silent "C"?
Obviously misunderstood the rules and what you mean by track. I can draw a continuous track, but not consistently horizonal or vertical, through the letters I mentioned.that doesn't 'track'
You got it... for each valid answer, you have to consistently track (no changing direction)... can go any way... up-down, down-up, diagonal any way.Obviously misunderstood the rules and what you mean by track. I can draw a continuous track, but not consistently horizonal or vertical, through the letters I mentioned.
Alas... yes! That's it!Do you mean à la wordsearch? (high pretentiousness quotient there)
No changes of direction allowed. Two character answers allowed. All answers have to be acronyms... and computer/IT industry based ones. Company names allowed.Ah! I was meaning tracking with changes of direction allowed (like the Radio Times puzzle).
And forgot to ask if there is a minimum length? That is, are two character answers allowed?
As per BH comment, is is "à la wordsearch" - but not words, acronyms. so, actually "AcronymSearch".Do you mean à la wordsearch? (high pretentiousness quotient there)
Making a puzzle out of the 'Newest Members' tile-looking thingy on the Members page...
