I have noticed a few times that a recording has failed to wake up the Humax from stand-by and have been trying to find out why, as this was a problem in the early days of Redring I started by looking at the Redring logs and noticed that every time a recording from standby failed there was also no 4:30am auto wake-up for the OTA search, I have also noticed that on almost every occasion that there was no OTA search, that the Humax had been recording a program that ended in the early hours of the morning. I think there must be some connection but I’m not sure what - Yet

I have had my HDR T2 for 18 months now and it has been superb with no problems whatsoever. I installed the CF a couple of weeks ago including Redring. Since then I have had three experiences of a recording failing to wake up the Humax from stand-by.
 
Have the same experience - occasionally fails to wake up for Home and Away at 13:15. The recording is rescheduled for 18:00. I am using Multimode, and use padding for Ch5 as it clips start with AR. All other channels are in AR mode. The problem doesn't seem to occur if Hummy is left in Power on state (ie not in standby). Don't remember a failure without multimode.
 
I have found the problem and I think it does involve Redring. If you switch to standby during a recording the Humax will not auto wake-up to make a further recording. I have reproduced this twice now as follows :-

Current time = T1
Select two recordings from the EPG that are from T1+30 to T1+45 and T1+75 to T1+90 Mins.
Cycle Humax to standby and back to awake
View Humax until recording 1 is almost complete, then put into standby (recording)
Humax goes into full standby 2 Mins. later as expected
But the Humax doesn't wakeup for recording 2
