More info required. You had two recordings running between 20:00:00 and 20:00:10, another recording could only have started subsequent to that. Do you have a failed recording due to higher priority?

What happens if you have the box tuned to one Mpx and the two recordings are both on two different Mpx (with the box tuned to say BBC1 SD and trying to record BBC1 HD and ITV at the same time) if:
a. you are watching the BBC1 SD
b. you are not watching the O/P of the box at all?

The same happens for both a) and b), when it is time to record the second programme, a message will be displayed saying the channel will be switched Y / N, if you answer No, the second recording will be cancelled, if you say Yes or don't respond at all, the current channel will be switched to the second recording Mux / Channel

Thanks Ezra. I just wondered whether or no that was mihaid's problem and obviously wasn't certain what happened.

there was a recording on ch4hd due at 20.00. that recording failed to track. failed after only 10 seconds?

I've noticed this behaviour and punched myself in the face when I answered no to the message.

further info which seems to tell me that there should have been no conflict

What is not clear to me is:

what is happening at 19.52 ?
Looks like somebody put the Humax into standby (remote control or front-panel button) whilst still recording and then woke it up again 8 second later.

there was a recording on ch4hd due at 20.00. that recording failed to track. failed after only 10 seconds?
Well, yes. The programme ID (used to trigger an AR recording) can be transmitted throughout the programme, but we have noted that sometimes (some broadcasters) only transmit it at the start of the programme. If the HDR was otherwise occupied at that moment it will not have had another chance to trigger the recording within the valid time window, and gave up "unable to track".

A failed-to-track that quickly implies that your box was on a Mux from a different region - do you have multiple regions tuned? A screenshot of the webif Diagnostics->Channels page would quickly show us.

How could that be? the diary picture above says I was either watching uncle buck or the dragons.

only one region tuned see below

This sounds the most plausible even if hard to believe that they stopped the ID ten seconds into the programme. I usually get higher priority truncated recordings 10 minutes in.
